All patterns are made of 2 solid colors, one for the pattern (dark grey) and one for the background (off-white). I thought it would be easier for people who want to change the colors quickly, but if you need the pattern on a transparent background, to apply a style, you can simply remove the cream square I placed behind the vector while editing the pattern.
