Описание:
Кэрол написала книгу об одном из своих предыдущих приключений. Она вложила в это много сил, но после отказов в публикации от нескольких издателей, ее энтузиазм начал иссякать. У нее снова затеплилась искорка надежды, когда один из этих издателей прислал ей смс с предложением встретиться. Тем не менее, издателя интересовали не литературные таланты Кэрол, а ее детективные способности в поискам пропавших людей. Он хотел нанять ее для поисков одного эксцентричного писателя. С самого начала Кэрол стало очевидно, что это вовсе не заурядное дело о пропаже человека. Жена пропавшего писателя была убита шесть лет назад. А перед его исчезновением было найдено тело женщины. Рот жертвы был набит страницами из последнего романа пропавшего автора.
