Lesson one - Learn to create realistic rain systems used in production. This entire effect and pipeline was developed for the cinematics for Microsoft's video game Destiny. McKay VFX Supervised and developed this to allow for realistic rain, drip and splash effects completely automated. Better yet - rebuilding the entire effect into a customized FX tool - so that it can be applied to any shot in seconds. Learn step by step how to do this! Lesson two - Not only does this video show you how to create realistic fire simulations for use in production - but then how to create realistic lighting passes to use to illuminate your shots. We go through the entire process (scene files provided) to automatically light our shots and render out the necessary render elements for compositing. Lastly we automate all of this into our own custom FX scripted tool. So that any given shot we can create an 'Interactive Lighting Pass' based on the fire (and composited in Nuke). Lesson three we look into scripting destruction! We walk through the entire process for creating realistic dynamic destruction from beginning to end and then automating the process. By the end of this video you will have built from the ground up - a powerful scripted tool that allows you literally to click any object and watch it dynamically break apart and simulate fracturing and falling apart using Thinking Particles powerful dynamics.
