Compatibility with current Windows security updates
SIMATIC WinAC RTX (F) 2010 incl. SP3 is compatible with all Microsoft security updates provided that the following prerequisites are met:
Security updates which have been published until 12/2017 and
Security updates which have been published since 04/2019 and later for Windows 7 und Windows Embedded Standard 7
Additional improvements
ALARM_8P, messages are not processed correctly
Alarm_8P messages are displayed with invalid time stamps and cannot be acknowledged. This behavior is corrected with SP3.
WinAC RTX is not started when using a CP 5612 as submodule
WInAC RTX is not started with an assigned CP 5612. SP3 supports operation with CP 5612.
The shutdown of WinAC RTX is slowed down each time the WinLC_Shutdown.exe command is called.
When the WinLC_Shutdown.exe command is used several times, the shutdown of WinAC RTX is increasingly slowed down. SP3 ensures fast shutdown even when using the command several times.
Alarm_8P, group acknowledgment does not acknowledge all collective displays
With a group acknowledgment for Alarm_8P messages, not all group displays are reset. SP3 corrects this behavior.
Increased memory consumption of WinAC RTX with missing license key
In case of a missing license key, the memory consumption of WinAC RTX may increase continuously and lead in the long term to a memory bottleneck. This behavior is corrected with SP3

With Update 1, the following improvements have been achieved for SIMATIC WinAC RTX (F) 2010 SP3:
Message "High Precision Event Timer not deactivated" for WinAC RTX F 2010 SP3 after installation of newer Windows KBs
After installation of Windows Security Patches as of September 2019, WinAC RTX F displays the error message "High Precision Event Timer has to be deactivated in BIOS Setup" upon startup and does not run.
With Update 1, starting WinAC RTX F 2010 incl. SP3 is also possible with newer Windows Security Patches.
Failsafe communication via WLAN will not be reestablished automatically after a disconnection
For connection problems via a WLAN route, the failsafe communication is not reestablish automatically after a timeout.
With WinAC RTX (F) 2010 SP3 Update 1 this behavior has been improved.
Security improvements for CPU panel and CMI interface
The security level of the interfaces for the CPU panel and CMI are improved with Update 1.
Proceed as follows for installation of the update:
Close WinAC RTX ("Shutdown")
To install, start the executable file and follow the setup instructions.
