В Windows XP и 2003 предварительно пропатчен uxtheme.dll, чтобы иметь возможность использовать альтернативные темы. Также включены пакеты обновления для всех версий. Windows XP имеет интегрированный пакет обновления 1 и Windows 2000 имеет интегрированный пакет обновления 4. Исправление WindowsUpdate версии 5.8 включено для установки Windows 2003 VLK.
